The Custodian’s House at Pendennis Castle
The Custodian’s House is a spacious one bedroom holiday cottage that comfortably sleeps two. This historic cottage adjacent to Pendennis Castle offers the most incredible views of Falmouth Bay from its perch on Pendennis Headland. The fortress was built by Henry VIII and, together with Mawes Castle, defended the harbour from its European enemies. The property is perfect for a romantic retreat, with contemporary furnishings, spectacular views and access to the castle and grounds. Included in your booking is a luxury hamper, as well as entry to all English Heritage sites and most events, 10% off in our shops and cafés during your stay. Discover Pendennis Castle
Built on the headland of the Falmouth peninsula the original fortress was built by Henry 8th and together with Mawes Castle defended this natural harbour and bustling port from its European enemies. From the threat of the Spanish Armada to pirates and smugglers, Pendennis Castle has played its part in defining the history of Falmouth and the surrounding area.
The Custodian's House is the ideal base from which to explore this picturesque part of southern Cornwall, the Fal Estuary and Helford River with its rich in maritime heritage and stunning gardens.
